Why group them this way

Most tool sites organise by what a tool does to a file — convert, compress, calculate. That works until the tools get specialised, at which point a subnet calculator and a fibre loss budget end up filed next to a tip splitter because all three are “calculators”.

Grouping by profession matches how people actually arrive: someone planning a microwave hop wants the whole telecom set, not the one tool whose name they happened to guess. It also makes the gaps visible, which is the point of the next section.

More trades are coming

Electricians, electrical engineers, plumbers, accountants, programmers, civil engineers and architects are next. Each will get the same treatment as the sets above: the arithmetic visible, the assumptions stated, the limits of each model written down, and nothing uploaded.

What these have in common

Nothing is uploaded. There is no server to upload to. Coordinates, network topologies, equipment figures, shift patterns and pay rates are all worked out in the page in front of you.

The workings are shown. Where a constant appears it is derived rather than typed, so changing units cannot leave a stale number behind. Where a model has limits, the tool says where they are instead of returning a confident figure past them.
