Questions worth asking of any schedule
- 01How far apart are the two homes? Frequent handovers work better when school and friends are reachable from both.
- 02How do the children’s ages change things? Many parents weigh how long a younger child goes without seeing each parent, and an older child’s own routines and wishes.
- 03Where do handovers happen? School or childcare can mean the parents do not need to meet at all.
- 04What about work shifts, holidays and birthdays? A regular pattern is the base; holidays and special days usually sit on top of it.
