Why one category for both

The questions are the same at either end of a marriage — whose is it, what became shared, what happens to the home, who supports whom. Before the wedding you can answer them together, calmly, while you agree about almost everything. After a separation the same questions are answered under pressure, often by other people. The pre-nup tools are the cheap version of the divorce tools.

That is not a prediction about anyone's marriage. Most couples who write a pre-nup never use it; what they get from it is a conversation about money they would otherwise have avoided.
