The same tasks drive the schedule, the resources, the risks and the report. Nothing is entered twice, and nothing leaves the browser.
Tasks
Owners drive the resource view. Predecessors accept A, A:SS+2, B:FF-1. A duration of 0 is a milestone.
Risks
Every indicator is derived from the tasks, risks and money on the Setup tab. Click one to go to what produced it.
Assembled from everything above. The narrative is yours; the indicators are derived and say what produced them.
What Project Lab is, and is not
It is the tools on this site sharing one project. Tasks entered once drive the schedule, the resource histogram, the dashboard and the report, so the numbers cannot disagree with each other.
It is not a cloud task manager. There is no account, no sync, no collaboration, and no server. Saving puts the project in this browser's local storage on this device; exporting gives you a JSON file you control.
Every dashboard indicator states what produced it. A status derived from data you entered can be argued with; one produced by judgement cannot be checked at all.
For deeper work on any one area — Monte Carlo, crashing, earned value, AHP — the standalone tools go considerably further than these views do.
The point is that the numbers cannot disagree
A project reported from four spreadsheets has four versions of the truth, and reconciling them is most of what status reporting actually consists of.
Here the schedule, the resource loading, the dashboard and the report all read the same task list. Change a duration and every view moves together, because there is only one project.
Local-first is a real constraint, not a slogan
A project plan carries client names, budgets, staff assignments and commercial dates. None of that has any business on somebody else's server as the price of doing arithmetic.
Saving is opt-in and goes to this browser on this device. Export gives you a JSON file that is yours: it is the backup, the way to move between machines, and the way to share with a colleague. There is no other copy anywhere.
What this deliberately will not do
No collaboration, no notifications, no assigning work to people who then get emailed. Those need a server and an account, and the moment they exist the privacy claim above stops being true.
If you need a team to work in one place simultaneously, this is the wrong tool and it will not pretend otherwise.
